Dr. Pace is a co-founder, director, and consultant to QRxPharma, a clinical-stage specialty pharmaceutical company listed on the ASX.
Director of ResMed and Transition Therapeutics, a NASDAQ and TSX-listed company developing new therapies.
Director of Sova Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a privately-held pharmaceutical development company targeting central sleep apnea formed in 2010.
He was formerly:
- Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of a predecessor company to QRxPharma.
- President and CEO of RTP Pharma, a developer of nano-articulate technology.
- Chairman and CEO of Waratah Pharmaceuticals Inc., a spin-off company from RTP Pharma.
- Founding President and Chief Executive Officer of Transcend Therapeutics Inc. (formerly Free Radical Sciences Inc.)
- Senior Vice President of Clintec International, Inc., a Baxter/Nestle joint venture and manufacturer of clinical-nutritional products.

Mr Smart brings significant experience in managing both private and public companies, strategic planning, risk management and preparing companies for trade sale or initial public offer (IPO).

Righthouse Ltd, developers of energy efficiency system for New Zealand residential homes.
WhisperGen Ltd, inventors of residential combined heat and power generation systems for European homes. He is Chairman of the Audit Committee.
The New Zealand Plumbers Merchant Group, which operates the businesses of Plumbing World, Patton Refrigeration Group, MCD, Inovo and Metrix.
